Biological waste
Waste that contains living organisms must first be inactivated/sterilized by the waste generator using an appropriate measure. Afterwards, if the waste contains chemically hazardous substances, it should be handled as chemicaly hazardous waste and disposal and treatment should be requested to ESC. If no chemically hazardous substances are included in the waste after inactivation/sterilization, it can be treated as other general laboratory waste such as laboratory plastic waste. Note, however, that if the waste is deemed as infectious waste or is dead body of animals we should follow the rule of faculty/school.
