Research Field of Environmental Monitoring

Environmental monitoring must target a wide diversity of objects, including environmental water, environmental air, environmental soil, living organisms and wastes. In addition, the objects of monitoring take a wide range of forms, such as evenly distributed dissolved materials, suspended solids, sediments, and deposits. From this diversity of objects, we are doing research related to analytical measurement techniques for identification of causative agents of environmental impact, quantitative analyses with high-sensitivity on substances connected to new risks, and information on substance management for the purpose of reducing the environmental load of waste material disposal.

Together with this research, we are developing methods for analysis and measurement that collect information for managing new substances from the stance of grasping the actual campus environment and waste disposal.
